Plenary Lecture:

“Analysis of Endogenous Monoclonal and Polyclonal Immunoglobulins using Mass Spectrometry”

Dr. David Barnidge, The Binding Site, Rochester, Minnesota

This talk will discuss how mass spectrometry has been used to detect, characterize, and quantify both monoclonal and polyclonal immunoglobulins in the clinical laboratory. Methodologies designed to analyze intact immunoglobulins as well as proteolyzed immunoglobulins will be presented. Various pre-analytical purification techniques will also be discussed in the context of their application in a clinical laboratory.
